The recent series in church was about marriage, it was very depressing. I recently got divorced-- not my idea of a fun time. It was however for the better. But when you see happily married peoples photos all over the screens, it is not exactly the idea of a happy Sunday. I wondered what I would take away from it, which kinda made me not want to go.
The most recent sermon, which I didn't get to sit through, I listened to while working with the kids in the back. It's strong message was you need to stand strong by your partner for any reason besides the reasons for which I got divorced. Then the sermon ended and they played a song, a song that I've heard many times before but hasn't never hit quite as hard as it did that day.
Jason Mraz. I won't give up. And that's when my friend walked in and said. God never gave up and won't give up on you either. I want to remind myself of this every day! Also any one who happens upon this blog, God won't give up on you! You've got this! Keep your chin up, and keep believing.
